1. What is the current market rate for future monthly contracts?

  1. What benefits are there to taking action versus doing nothing and accepting the quarterly rate flow through price from my utility?
    • My billing format will stay exactly the same except the Cost of Gas portion on my bill will NOT change over time
    • My relationship with the utility will remain exactly the same
    • I will be able to renegotiate my rate once per year and adjust up or down dependent upon market conditions
    • I will be able to move this billing method to another serviceable area or the agreement is terminated without penalty
    • I will have peace of mind and control over my budget
    • I will only be billed for what I use
  1. What risk is involved with this decision?
    • I understand that it is possible due to mild weather (low demand) that the guaranteed rate may be higher than the quarterly floating rate from time to time
  1. What action is required of me to choose this option?
    • If I wish to secure a guaranteed rate for the cost of gas then I must decide how long I wish to manage this rate for and then place a bid with a broker just like buying a stock
    • The bid will be accepted or declined based on market conditions for a period of a maximum of 60 days from the date of my authorization
